Thomas G. Weiss and Mark F. Massoud named 2016 Andrew Carnegie Fellows

The fellows “will provide new perspectives on [their] topics” and are “addressing some of the world’s most urgent challenges to U.S. democracy and international order,” as the funding Carnegie Corporation of New York stated. Each fellow will receive up to $200,000 toward the funding of one to two years of scholarly research and writing.
Prof. Thomas G. Weiss is Presidential Professor at the Graduate Center at City University of New York. he is one of the world’s leading experts on the United Nations and on humanitarian intervention.
Weiss has been a visiting scholar at the Institute for Advanced Study Konstanz in 2012 and the MA-program in international administration and conflict management at the University of Konstanz in 2011.

Prof. Mark Fathi Massoud is Associate Professor for Politics and Legal Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
